Archive for the ‘Desperate Housewives’ Category

Hey everyone! As you can see there’s a new layout up, made by the fabulous Isi at Eclipse Designs. This one is featuring the very beautiful Eva Longoria since I’m a huge fan of Desperate Housewives. I have been EXTREMELY busy with school and personal issues I’ve barely had time to catch up on my shows! But I just got done my exams and will be catching up and updating as well.

Here’s a new Ask DH segment with Marc Cherry & Drea de Matteo. I just finished watching last week’s episode of Desperate Housewives and I thought it was okay. I like Julie Benz (the stripper) as an actress but I don’t know how far this new plot for Susan is going to go. It was amusing how MJ was so smitten with her though, asking her for hugs & baths, too cute. I thought it was hilarious when Tom & Lynette had their therapy sessions though, especially when they were making fun of how their therapist acted in that play. Their dynamic relationship is a personal interest to me because it kind of relates to my real life, not the therapy, but the husband-wife complex that they share. I don’t know if I even care enough about Angie’s secret (the main plot of the season), although Drea goes know how to play a scary, mean character.

Cougar Town, starring Courtney Cox, is definitely becoming a new favorite of mine. The writer/producer of Scrubs is the one who made it so it comes as no surprise. I really want Jules to end up with Grayson, I feel like they could be good together, but I don’t know how she’d react to him sleeping with her friend (Busy Philips). But I suppose the premise of the show is her adventures dating as a 40 year old and not about her settling down. I especially enjoyed last week’s episode when the guys went out bar-hopping and took those pictures, that montage was hilarious!

I also watched HIMYM, which was okay. I enjoyed Barney going on his many dates and it was humorously creepy that Marshall and Lily share the same toothbrush, but I feel like the show has lost its drive. Even though I know reveiling the “Mother” would basically end the show, it wouldn’t hurt to focus on Ted a little more. Barney is the funniest character of them all though. Plus, I think Lily is getting more annoying with each episode. I mean I adore Alyson Hannigan but her character, not so much.

On a more funny note, I absolutely LOVED last week’s episode of The Big Bang Theory. When Sheldon was in the ball pit I could not stop laughing! I swear he gets funnier with each episode. I just love when he says “BAZINGA”. When the show first started out I didn’t really like him, thought he was pretty annoying, but eventually I saw the comic relief to his character and I always crack up in his scenes.

I am getting very disappointed with The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Before, I used to love it but hate it yet still be able to watch it religiously. Now I want to watch it, but the constant repeat of words and phrases and how the show just drags on is getting to be too much for me. It’s like one character says a line and the other character repeats it and they go back and forth until the show ends. I honestly don’t know how much longer I’ll be watching this show.

Also, I’m super excited for this week’s episode of The Vampire Diaries. So in love with that show, it’s ridiculous. The guys are hot and the story line is very interesting. We just can’t get enough about vampires can we? Nina Dobrev is such a sweetheart, very pretty, and I like her playing Elena/Katherine. Paul Wesley as Stefan is so dreamy. I love their relationship together, it just makes me melt. Ian Somerhalder as Damon is quite delicious as well. He’s so dangerous, just what any girl would want. I’m not to thrilled about the new vampires, but it should all play out well. I think the writers/producers are doing a fantastic job so far, but I hate how they keep going on a hiatus after every few episodes, like they’re about to do after this week, such a tease!

Here’s some promo clips from this week’s episode along with some commentary from the creators.

Finally, I have been secretly, and now publicly, addicted to Grey’s Anatomy. I was able to catch up on all five seasons during my spare time and am ready to start watching Season 6. I used to think it was all about the drama, nothing medically related, but it’s not like that at all. And I actually enjoy the drama. I do love Mer & Derek’s relationship, although Meredith can be a bit annoying sometimes. I would have to say my favorite character is Cristina, even though she is a “robot”. I do miss T.R Knight’s character, O’Malley though, but the show must move on.

Here is a promo of this week’s episode for you all to enjoy!

Well that was a HUGE update, so I’m going to go watch more shows and play “Words with Friends” on my iTouch =)

EDIT: I’ve updated the gallery with a temporary, nice-looking layout until I get my custom-made one up. Hope everyone likes it!

I’ve uploaded the HQ promos for Desperate Housewives Episode 6.06: “Don’t Walk on the Grass” into the Gallery.

I love how Gaby has to deal with her kids, especially Juanita, who I think is kind of a brat, but still cute. From this picture it looks like Gaby’s making sure Juanita acts her part correctly so she doesn’t embarrass her, which I think is so typical of Gaby.

You got to wonder what in the world Katherine thinks she’s doing running with champagne and chocolate strawberries, dressed like that! Obviously she’s still trying to seduce Mike and I’m guessing Susan is trying to stop her. Oh their dynamic interactions is definitely going to make the show a fun night! Can’t wait!

Also, check out the latest promos and sneak peeks for this Sunday’s upcoming episode “Never Judge a Lady by Her Lover”.

Here is the newly released promo for Episode 6.02- “Being Alive”. Sigh…poor Julie…I hope she makes it through. I’m liking the scenes with Bree and Karl more and more. You can see a little taste of Katherine’s craziness in the promo which just makes me want more! Can’t wait for Sunday!

Here’s the promos for the next few episodes of Desperate Housewives this season. I have to admit it’s looking pretty good. I just can’t believe John is trying to date Ana! Poor Gaby has to deal with so much crap all the time, but that’s drama for you! Although I do like that Jesse Metcalfe is back on the show. He’s so dreamy and sexy! I feel like Lynette’s story is a little weak but hopefully when it actually plays out it will be awesome. I’m happy that Bree is finally breaking free of her “good girl” image and even though I never liked the way Karl treated Susan, I like his character so their relationship is a nice twist to the show. I’m excited to see how Katherine plays her part as the “woman scorned”. The promos have me wanting more!

Episode 6.03:
“Never Judge a Lady by Her Lover” – A chance encounter reunites Gaby with her sexy ex-lover and gardener, John Rowland; Bree contemplates a weekend getaway with Karl; Lynette and Tom break the news to their kids that she’s pregnant again; and Susan is convinced Angie’s son is responsible for her daughter’s attack.

Episode 6.04:
“The God-Why-Don’t-You-Love-Me Blues” – Losing Mike takes its toll on Katherine. As Katherine unravels, Bree comes to her aid; Gaby grows weary of John’s intentions towards Ana; with twins on the way, Lynette calls upon her family to step up around the house; Susan learns Julie has been harboring some secrets; and Angie throws a party for son, Danny.

Episode 6.05:
“Everybody Ought to Have a Maid” – When Juanita’s party is on the verge of being ruined after Gaby is deemed a bad mom, Gaby is determined to prove she’s a responsible parent; Bree gets defensive when she’s judged by a motel maid for having an affair with Karl; Lynette is put off by her new handyman when he defers to Tom for approval on all things; and Susan and Katherine come to blows over Mike. Meanwhile, a lapse in judgment on Danny’s part leads to a terrible mishap that Angie and Nick must cover up.

Episode 6.6:
“Don’t Walk on the Grass” – Bree begins to fall for Karl and drifts further from Orson; Katherine continues her sad attempts at seducing Mike, as her conflict with Susan grows; Gaby gets Juanita expelled from school; Lynette learns Tom is cheating on his mid-term, and Angie hides the truth about her mother.

I’ve also added promo images of Episode 6.04 to my gallery, courtesy of Desperate Housewives Network. Here’s some for you to enjoy.

Wow! I’m so happy Mike & Susan got married! They really are soul mates and it’s so just awesome that they’re back together. I never really liked Mike with Katherine, just never thought they had any chemistry. Plus, she was always so insecure with him, you could tell it just wasn’t going to last. I love how MJ was the ring bearer, he is just the cutest kid!

I’m not so sure about the new family. I hope there’s a nice, twisted plot to their story. I’m quite upset with what happened to Julie though, I’m sure it was that new kid Danny. I like her new darker hair color though and she’s gotten so much older and prettier too. Sigh…I can’t wait for the next episode!

Poor Lynette has to struggle through another pregnancy and she has to deal with the thought of possibly not loving the children. I know it will work out though and she’ll love them unconditionally because that’s just the kind of character she is. I love her as a mom and how she struggles with what she knows is right and what she really wants.

I’m loving how Gabby (Eva) is looking this season. She always has such a flawless look to her. I think the troubled teen plot is a little too dull for them, but hopefully Marc Cherry can stir up some good twists for the fans.

Here’s the Promo for this week’s episode of DH:
