Ask Ausiello answers some “dying to know” questions pertaining to the upcoming season of Grey’s Anatomy. The season finale was amazing, dramatic, and a romantic cliffhanger so Shonda Rhimes has definitely left the fans wanting more.
I’m very happy that Jesse Williams has been promoted as a series regular. He has those eyes that could melt make you weak at the knees and a smile that can melt your heart. I really hope the writers develop his character more and give him some more screen time as I adore Avery. I really would like to see more “Cristina/Avery” time, as it adds more of a twist to the whole romance thing with Cristina, but I do hope she and Owen work it out.
Question: That’s great news about Jesse Williams becoming a series regular on Grey’s Anatomy. Let’s hope Shonda does the right thing and pairs him with Sandra Oh. I love me some Jackson and Cristina. —Marsha
Ausiello: Unfortunately, Williams’ gut is telling him Jastina is not in the cards next season. “My hunch is that if I were to get a love interest, it would be someone new,” he says. “I feel like everyone has been with everyone and most people seem secure in their relationships for now. But I really like working with Sandra, so it would be fine by me… But full disclosure, I know nothing. The writers and Shonda have disclosed nothing to me about season 7. But I’m excited for him to make more fully developed relationships with the other [characters]. I want to get myself more embedded and do more doctor work. People always ask about the romance stuff, but I find the hospital business and the surgeries way more fascinating.”
I am not too happy with the news that they have promoted Sarah Drew to a series regular. I have nothing against her, it’s just that I think her character leaves something to be desired and she really adds nothing to the show. Sure she has a crush on McDreamy, but honestly, if the writers even think about a supposed love triangle with her, Shepard, and Meredith, you might as well end it right there. Her character is nowhere in the league of McDreamy and besides the whole crush thing, I really don’t see her doing anything else. Definitely not a well-thought out character.
It’s official: Sarah Drew has been welcomed into Grey’s Anatomy‘s elite Series-Regular Society.
An ABC rep confirms that Drew’s deal — which kicks in this fall with the start of season 7 — was finalized this morning.
News of the former Everwood actress’ promotion comes 48 hours after fellow Grey’s rookie Jesse Williams joined the full-time ranks at Seattle Grace.
It’s safe to say that fans will be slower to embrace Drew’s new status, given the mostly chilly reception her character — Mercy West alum/McDreamy-obsessive April — has received. But don’t underestimate the redemptive powers of both fast-rising star Drew and series creator Shonda Rhimes. And if you’re looking for Exhibit A, grab some Kleenex and rewatch April’s emotional heart-to-heart with Mer in the season finale.
Here are some sneak peeks for this week’s all-new Grey’s Anatomy-Sympathy for the Parents. This should be a good episode since the fans will learn a little more about Alex, who’s background had been pretty shady up until now.
Just a quick update!
The Ausiello Files at EW.com just released a Grey’s Anatomy spoiler where Bailey (Chandra Wilson) will be sharing her first kiss with her new man, Ben (Jason George). Chandra also directed this episode. I think this is so epic because Bailey really deserves a a happy love life. I love her character and have great respect for her and to see her finally have a man who understands her personality, this episode, which airs on March 11th, should be awesome!
Also, I hear from Shonda Rhimes that congrats is in order for Chandra Wilson, for winning an NAACP award for directing. She is on fire! Way to to!

Just making this quick note, because I love Grey’a Anatomy and Bailey so. I will be MIA for a bit as I prepare for my upcoming exams.
Hey everyone! As you can see there’s a new layout up, made by the fabulous Isi at Eclipse Designs. This one is featuring the very beautiful Eva Longoria since I’m a huge fan of Desperate Housewives. I have been EXTREMELY busy with school and personal issues I’ve barely had time to catch up on my shows! But I just got done my exams and will be catching up and updating as well.
Here’s a new Ask DH segment with Marc Cherry & Drea de Matteo. I just finished watching last week’s episode of Desperate Housewives and I thought it was okay. I like Julie Benz (the stripper) as an actress but I don’t know how far this new plot for Susan is going to go. It was amusing how MJ was so smitten with her though, asking her for hugs & baths, too cute. I thought it was hilarious when Tom & Lynette had their therapy sessions though, especially when they were making fun of how their therapist acted in that play. Their dynamic relationship is a personal interest to me because it kind of relates to my real life, not the therapy, but the husband-wife complex that they share. I don’t know if I even care enough about Angie’s secret (the main plot of the season), although Drea goes know how to play a scary, mean character.
Cougar Town, starring Courtney Cox, is definitely becoming a new favorite of mine. The writer/producer of Scrubs is the one who made it so it comes as no surprise. I really want Jules to end up with Grayson, I feel like they could be good together, but I don’t know how she’d react to him sleeping with her friend (Busy Philips). But I suppose the premise of the show is her adventures dating as a 40 year old and not about her settling down. I especially enjoyed last week’s episode when the guys went out bar-hopping and took those pictures, that montage was hilarious!
I also watched HIMYM, which was okay. I enjoyed Barney going on his many dates and it was humorously creepy that Marshall and Lily share the same toothbrush, but I feel like the show has lost its drive. Even though I know reveiling the “Mother” would basically end the show, it wouldn’t hurt to focus on Ted a little more. Barney is the funniest character of them all though. Plus, I think Lily is getting more annoying with each episode. I mean I adore Alyson Hannigan but her character, not so much.
On a more funny note, I absolutely LOVED last week’s episode of The Big Bang Theory. When Sheldon was in the ball pit I could not stop laughing! I swear he gets funnier with each episode. I just love when he says “BAZINGA”. When the show first started out I didn’t really like him, thought he was pretty annoying, but eventually I saw the comic relief to his character and I always crack up in his scenes.
I am getting very disappointed with The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Before, I used to love it but hate it yet still be able to watch it religiously. Now I want to watch it, but the constant repeat of words and phrases and how the show just drags on is getting to be too much for me. It’s like one character says a line and the other character repeats it and they go back and forth until the show ends. I honestly don’t know how much longer I’ll be watching this show.
Also, I’m super excited for this week’s episode of The Vampire Diaries. So in love with that show, it’s ridiculous. The guys are hot and the story line is very interesting. We just can’t get enough about vampires can we? Nina Dobrev is such a sweetheart, very pretty, and I like her playing Elena/Katherine. Paul Wesley as Stefan is so dreamy. I love their relationship together, it just makes me melt. Ian Somerhalder as Damon is quite delicious as well. He’s so dangerous, just what any girl would want. I’m not to thrilled about the new vampires, but it should all play out well. I think the writers/producers are doing a fantastic job so far, but I hate how they keep going on a hiatus after every few episodes, like they’re about to do after this week, such a tease!
Here’s some promo clips from this week’s episode along with some commentary from the creators.
Finally, I have been secretly, and now publicly, addicted to Grey’s Anatomy. I was able to catch up on all five seasons during my spare time and am ready to start watching Season 6. I used to think it was all about the drama, nothing medically related, but it’s not like that at all. And I actually enjoy the drama. I do love Mer & Derek’s relationship, although Meredith can be a bit annoying sometimes. I would have to say my favorite character is Cristina, even though she is a “robot”. I do miss T.R Knight’s character, O’Malley though, but the show must move on.
Here is a promo of this week’s episode for you all to enjoy!
Well that was a HUGE update, so I’m going to go watch more shows and play “Words with Friends” on my iTouch =)
