I’m a fan of science fiction and a woman. There! I said. Whew! It feels like a burden on my shoulders. Well, seriously, I had my doubts about writing an article on women and science fiction, SciFi, not even after all these strange men Connotations, is not it? Today it’s cool to be a girl and a monster.

But after I have on my own experiences and read blogs other fans of science fiction female, I thought the opposite. I was Fired Up, especially after reading this article Annalee Newitz via IO9 reports that advertising of the Sci Fi Channel Battlestar Galactica was lowered spacecraft to bring more viewers. Is this the reason why the new series Battlestar Galactica, Caprica is described by its creators as “Dynasty in space”? Well, for one, prefer Space Type Melrose less dramatic and more arc Galactica episodes that really push the plot in one direction Way.

I was raised on a diet of science fiction, largely thanks to my wonderful sister geek. The idea that Science Fiction and women do not go together just seems wrong to me. My first advertisements of science fiction,Although a little outdated, had the ingenious Faye Grant, scientists and leader of the resistance *, Juliette Parish and Jane Badler as Diana, let’s face it, it was essentially calling the shots on the visitors mother Ships.

The series begins in winter in the forest to the north by a huge wall that separates the north of untamed “civilized” countries known as the Seven Kingdoms. The wall was constructed so that the creatures that are supposed to flow from the north, are Forests especially hard for ten years, in winter. But they have not not seen for a thousand years and most people just see them as legends. But in the first scene, we see that they are not. Undead creatures with a hatred of all living things. The first few minutes showing dismembered bodies of men, women and children, then one of the undead Rangers beheading of a South of the wall on a reconnaissance mission. Harry Potter is not.

Most of the series by three families. The Stark cranky but noble by Sean Bean (Director: Surely there must be a hand to DAB sword fight at that time.) The Lannister led by Lena Headley. She is Queen, Robert Baratheon, a once proud warrior and friend of Ned Stark (Bean), who is now at the seeds. He has no interest in his royal duties and her marriage-de-Ms. Cers convenience. They, too, despises her husband and has an affair with his twin brother ….. Yes, you read that’s right. The other family is a brother and sister, Danny and Viserys Targaryen. They are the last of his family. Their Father was the former king. He and the rest of the family were killed when Robert came to the throne. They fled after another country across the sea in the deep south. Viserys is dying to his throne and marries his sister to a local Tribal leaders in exchange for using its large base to regain the crown.The fantasy elements are minimized.
